Victor asks to buy the letters of transit from Rick. Rick refuses and hints at his affair with Ilsa.

Victor and Ilsa talk. Victor leaves for a resistance meeting.

Ilsa comes to Rick in his apartment. She threatens to shoot him for the letters of transit. He refuses. They kiss. Fade to black.

Rick and Laszlo talk. Laszlo is inspiring (it's what he does). Laszlo is arrested.

Louis arrives to arrest Laszlo.

Victor and Ilsa arrive. Ilsa thinks she's staying with Rick.

Rick gives the letters to Laszlo. Louis tries to arrest Laszlo. Rick pulls a gun on him. Louis manages to warn Strasser that something is going on. |
Rick, Louis, Victor, and Ilsa arrive at the airport. Rick tells Ilsa he's sending her off. Their big beautiful farewell. |

Victor comes back in. Rick sends him off in the plane with Ilsa. Victor is decent and inspiring. It's what he does. After they are off, Strasser arrives. Rick shoots him. Louis covers for Rick. Rick and Louis walk off into the sunset. |
